Historic Santa Rosa


  
  
Former home of botanist Luther Burbank.  Located in the middle of downtown Santa Rosa, California, the residence and gardens are a historical landmark. 
 
 
 
 
  
  
 
  One of the plants that Luther Burbank cultivated was the Flowering Nectarine.
 
Old Courthouse Square in downtown Santa Rosa. 
 
 
 Hotel La Rose located in the historic Railroad Square section of downtown Santa Rosa.  The hotel was built in 1907 is still in operation today.
 
Another famous resident of Santa Rosa is Peanuts comic strip creator, Charles Schultz.  Schultz lived in Santa Rosa for nearly 30 years, until his death in 2000. 
 This statue of his most famous creations, Charlie Brown and his dog, Snoopy, is located in Depot Park and dedicated to his memory. 
  
These statues are also located in town featuring characters dressed in uniforms related to the railroad theme.
